In brief some of these changes include:

• Significant changes to Lithium Batteries
• Introduction of new UN numbers for Sodium Batteries
• New Definitions and Glossary Terms
• List of collective entries for toxic articles
• Large number of other amendments to collective entries and class specific provisions
• SP28 (IMDG Regs only) added to a number of items
• New SP added mainly relating to Lithium and Sodium Ion batteries
• New SP relating to Waste and Asbestos containing waste
• New Packing Instructions for UN 3556, 3557 and 3558
• Amendments relating to ‘filling’ across several chapters
• Many amendments relating to tanks and cyclinders
• New AP12 regarding the carriage of waste in bags
• New CV regarding container bags.
