James Kevan runs high for his Country
Wednesday September 2016
James has been employed by Specialist Training & Consultancy Services since October 2015 as a Healthcare Waste Advisor, working with the NHS. James’s specialism is Clinical Waste compliance and assists NHS Trusts in implementing new systems and auditing existing ones to help the them maintain their legal obligations.
Since joining Specialist James’s learning curve has taken a steep incline as he has undertaken training and development in Dangerous Goods and Fork Lift Trucks. This hard work has recently paid off as he passed with flying colours both the DGSA and the Fork Lift Truck Instructor / Examiner exams. Well done to James and we look forward to using his new skills over the forthcoming years.
In addition to a very busy working life James has also been working hard preparing for the 32rd World Running Championships where he represents Ireland. The race took place in Sapareva Banya in Bulgaria on the 11th September 2016 which awaits the very best mountain runners of the World.
James took part in the Senior Men race which lapsed a distance of 12.5km with an ascent of 1390m and a decent of 20m. This race is a gruelling uphill race on a very difficult terrain.
James completed the course in a very respectable 1 hour 12 minutes and 49 seconds and was the 61st athlete out of 141 to finish the race.
Clearly his determination and hard work has certainly paid off and therefore we are very proud of him and wish him continued success in the future.
Well done and keep up the good work.
